Learn about emotional or experiential design to feel good in your home

Before starting to adapt experiential design it is essential to know yourself. Take into account the energies of your environment, your own and that of the spaces. This preliminary step will allow you to choose between colors and materials that bring warmth or bright colors and rougher textures.

It is important to know yourself to establish your tastes and preferences, but also to know your social habits. And is that, depending on your personality and character, adapt the space. For example, if you are a sociable person who likes to receive visitors at home or you have a large family, you will probably have to organize the living room, to comfortably welcome your guests and transmit good energies to them.

If, on the other hand, you are a person who does not usually use the house as a meeting place with friends or family, it does not make sense to buy a large table for many people. Turn it into a comfortable space to enjoy family or personal experiences.

Adapt your home to fashion: Eco design:

In experiential or emotional design, sustainability is chosen when executing the design. It is a model that will allow us to be in tune with a sustainable environment and transmit unique emotions through decoration and furniture. All this is synonymous with well-being for you and for the planet. Emotional design reveals a striking and different space.

Everything in its place and everything in its place: In the emotional design model, order is fundamental to achieve well-being in our home. So, it activates a routine of order at the end of the day. The design establishes that at least a quarter of the furniture should be dedicated to storage: closets, drawers, beds with drawers, drawers... What better experience than coming home and seeing everything tidy? Pure wellbeing!

Experience, the mother of science: Emotional design chooses to decorate with objects that remind you of lived experiences. For example, a sculpture you bought on that trip that marked you so much, those Egyptian cotton cushions that are so meaningful, etc. In short, make your home be decorated with objects loaded with a strong message.

Natural light, the best light: How is sunlight projected inside your home? How does your furniture receive it? It is important to study the natural light you have in each space and take advantage of it by distributing the furniture in the best way. Remember! The light for work areas should enter perpendicular to the table and desk furniture. The same goes for the television: if you really want to feel positive experiences, do not place a television in front of a window.

Watch your back: emotions come into play in emotional design, but the positive ones. We leave out the negative ones. Therefore, and to save scares, distribute the furniture in your room in such a way that the bed is not turning its back to the access door. Why? It is a question of psychology. Our brain generates unconscious tension in the face of the insecurity produced by not visually controlling the door. Pure survival instinct!

Allies against noise: plants: The queen of sustainability and emotions: nature. A touch of nature in the decoration of your home through the use of natural plants provides a fresh and natural atmosphere. And as an added bonus... Did you know that plants are good for reducing noise? A space with less air and noise pollution equals a space of well-being.

In other spaces of the house such as the workplace, a good technical decorative directional spotlights will make your eyes less tired at the end of the day. Make your home a space far from the standards and that defines your lifestyle 100%.
